Global volunteer - How to apply for an IVPlacements Packages

Ready to become a global volunteer with Involvement Volunteers?

Potential global volunteer applicants should complete and submit the following by email:

1. The completed IVRegistration form (Details such as passport numbers for passports being re-issued can be sent later).
   
   
2. The Volunteer's CV or Resumé Form is the one of the key ways that we get to know you, and helps us select suitable placements for you. Once you have agreed upon a placement, your CV is sent to your potential host to introduce you before you arrive. In many cases volunteers 'live in' with host families. The personal information helps hosts to recognise your suitability as a volunteer, and helps them to assign tasks that you are most likely to enjoy. Therefore, it is very important that you provide as much personal detail as possible to include information about your hobbies and interests, your background, education and aims for the future, etc. This will help us (and your hosts) to gain a better understanding of your personality and skills, and so to select suitable placements for you.
   
   
3. The completed Cover Letter may include any information that you want us to know about but that which is not to be made known to other parties. Points that may help us to select the right placement(s) for you. For example, please include:
   • Your trip's complete proposed itinerary
   • Identify any specific placements that interest you
   • Dates and locations of planned visits to friends or relations
   • Details of specific interests or desires for your volunteer placement(s)
   
   We also need an indication of your budget figure (after purchasing your air ticket) so that we only suggest placements that suit your budget. For example, if you have a limited budget, we will try to minimise the Placement Costs.
   
   
4. Email a digital photo of yourself (head and shoulders with clear background if possible) as a SMALL jpeg attachment to: ivworldwide@volunteering.org.au or post/air mail two (2) recent passport sized photographs to:

Please note: To produce your Suggested Program we need items 1-3. However, your passport photographs can be forwarded as soon as possible.

3. Email the documents as attachments (.txt, .rtf, .doc or ASCII format) or simply copy the information into the body of an email
