Wildlife Zoo Experience

We spent 3 weeks helping at the zoo but we hope we had time to stay longer!

Definitely, it was the kind of job we were looking for and we are very happy that everything went well. We have outdone ourselves to be as efficient as possible when working with all the lovely animals and that brought us many positives things.

Donna and Gil welcome you in a beautiful surrounding (the Daintree!), where you have your own place to cook, sleep, watch TV, relax in the garden or by the pool. We felt at home right away.

The job can be hard sometimes especially if it rains a lot making everything a bit more difficult. But we liked every part of what we did, we learned a lot! We fed the animals, did some gardening, cleaning in the zoo, the enclosures, and get the rooms ready in the b&b area.

Donna and Gil are two nice persons and they can teach you a lot. We enjoyed their excellent cooking for the “BBQ evenings”! All in all, we will remember this part of our trip as probably the best one. Thanks to our hosts and the animals.

If you would like to work there, make sure you meet the requirements listed in the post as the job is not like petting your cat, you must be ready to get hands dirty! If you are then go for it, you will love it!

Happy happy!
